I decided to run down on I-90 to Tokio Sunday to see if the Snowy Owl reported was still in the vicinity. I found it--unfortunately. 4 miles this side of Tokio I passed the remains of a large white bird in the ditch. Fearing the worst, I pulled over and backed up as traffic allowed. Sure enough, it was the owl. Feathers were scattered about a hundred feet near milepost 236. I gathered up the body and am currently seeking someone who is licensed to study it. If I don't hear from anyone, I will turn it over to the West Valley Outdoor Learning Center here in the Spokane area. They are licensed to use, study and teach about critters. If your or your organization are interested, I'd like to hear from you soon. You must arrange a method of transportation, etc.
