Wow Scott, I have read that Mountain Bluebirds exist is Washington but I
have only seen them at Yellowstone. Thanks for the report.

Subject: [Tweeters] First Mountain Bluebird of the year
Took a trip over the horse heaven hills today and nothing really unusual but
did note 3 northern shrikes, 2 rough-legged hawk, and a female MOUNTAIN
BLUEBIRD about 2 miles south of Bickelton, the first I've seen for the year.
The weather was a wonderfully clear sunny day, reminded me more of spring
than on the ending winter. Most of the Horned Larks we also paired up as
well.
