PAGP -- Pacific Golden-Plover
SNOW -- Snowy Owl
ROSA -- Rock Sandpiper

Tweets,
I've been hanging out at Ocean Shores for the past few days and have seen a few noteworthy birds.

A Pacific Golden-Plover was at Damon Point State Park both yesterday and today. The bird is on the north side of the spit, moving back and forth a lot and being rather skittish -- making it difficult to get close scope views. The bird has a yellowish cast at a distance, though. I couldn't seen it well enough to make a call on primary projection.

Others have commented on the Snowy Owls. I saw six on Sunday, five yesterday and six today. They're all on the south side of the point, east of the pond. This morning a Common Raven was investigating one of the owls, hopping around nervously and then circling the owl at low altitude. The owl ignored the raven... The owls also seem rather comfortable with human presence. A couple of photographers were making close approaches on Sunday and today I walked within about 15 meters of one owl, who only glanced at me briefly but mostly ignored me.

Yesterday I found four Rock Sandpipers at the Point Brown Jetty, along with seven or more Black Turnstones. Monday there were about 20 Surfbirds on the jetty, but the wind was so strong that I had difficulty standing upright.

Not a rarity, but nonetheless my first for Washington state, was a Red-throated Loon at Damon Point State Park on Monday.
