Subject: [Tweeters] Anna's Hummingbird And The Cold

I just don't understand how these guys (and moms) survive the cold.
I'd always understood they dropped their body temp. on cold days (and
nights). But a hummingbird sitting on a NEST in Feb.? Having a bath
in feb.? These do not sound like hibernating hummers. But I sure love
these discussions, anecdotes and then someone coming up wi an
explanation....
