Lydia and Tweeters,

I have to admit that I, too, was watching America's Funniest Videos last
night. The bird in question was a GREEN HERON.

There have been previous published reports of Green Herons using a
tool as a fishing lure. Still, it was pretty amazing to watch this bird
drop bread crumbs on the water, and then spear a fish that came
up to eat the crumbs!

Was anybody in Tweeters land see that bird on AFV????? It was a shore bird
or a small heron on a dock. It climbs up onto the dock, grabs a hunk of
bread some human had tossed, hops back to the water and drops crumbs into
the water. The crumbs attract the fish, and the bird catches the fish!
Tool using bird! And it wasn't a corvid!

Then the next video showed a badger using a stick to climb out of its
enclosure. And a fox terrier climbing on a chair to get to the kitchen
counter.
