I need your help again . Do Steller's Jays imitate Bald Eagles?
This morning on my walk in and around Wallace Swamp Creek Park-Kenmore, I
am sure I heard a Bald Eagle.
I spent yesterday in the Skagit and saw and heard many Eagles, so I am
confident my identification of the call is correct.
I heard the call several times and looked in the trees and in the air but
couldn't find any Eagles. The last time I heard it, when I looked in the
trees I saw a Steller's Jay, I remember hearing that they imitate
Red-tailed Hawks, so I began to wonder if it was imitating the eagle too.
If so he did an excellent job.
