I answer the e-mail at the Seattle Audubon, and have seen several recent
reports, one with photos attached, of single Blue Jays in Ballard and in
Magnolia near Discovery Park. I don?t know how many individual birds
are involved, but it/they definitely is/are Blue Jays. (I encourage
people who see these birds to report them to the BirdBox, but they don?t
do it.)

Hi Michael-
Do you mean Blue Jay or Western Scrub Jay? I have been hearing what I
swear is a Blue Jay call around my apartment in Fremont over the past
few weeks. I haven?t even gone outside to look, assuming it must be a
caged bird in a near-by building. I grew up back east, and upon hearing
the call, Blue Jay was the first thing that came to mind.

I did see a Western Scrub Jay in Ballard back in October.
