Chuck Gates, a friend of mine shared this web site and organization
based in Central Oregon with an East Cascades focus. It is a resource
for birding east of the Cascades as well as a model for those
interested in organizing a similar local grass roots effort.
The East Cascades Bird Conservancy is happy to announce the unveiling of its
brand new website. The ECBC has been actively surveying bird populations in
Oregon for over 3 years. Now you can see what we have accomplished and
maybe even decide to join in on the fun. The following items are located on
the website:
. Local Bird Sightings - What's here and where to go
. Detailed Field Notes - See every bird that is reported in the area
. Field Trip Notices - Free and open to anyone interested
. Local Maps and Road Conditions - Help plan your trip
. Lots of Links to everything bird related on the net
. Full descriptions of our projects and how you can get involved
. Volunteer opportunities to help the lives of birds
. How to become a member of the ECBC
As you can see, everything you need to know about Central Oregon birds and
birding can now be accessed from our website. Come check us out at
