Another book on extinction worth checking out is Tim Flannery's
"A Gap in Nature" which puts the homogenocene in pretty clear
perspective by attempting to provide an illustrated guide to
species lost to the ecosphere through entanglements with the
human footprint. My daughter loves looking at the pictures, even
took it to school for show-and-tell.

No mention of bird feeders, though.....
