Tweets,
after spending 8 hours cruising around Wireless Road
and Youngs River Road, and the County Fairgrounds, we
finally saw the 3 Emperor Geese at about 3:30 today.

They were seen at the south end of Wireless road,
where they landed after being flushed from another
field just south of there. They were visible for
about 10 minutes, then they 'faded' into the longer
rushes, and were not seen again by when we left at
4:00. It looked like they were with a flock of
Cackling Geese in a field just south and east of
Wireless that is not easily visible from either
Wireless or Youngs River Road. We only saw them after
they were flushed by an eagle.

Other highlights: 3 White-tailed Kites on Wireless, 2
Greater White-front Geese on Wireless, Eurasian Wigeon
(and an American/Eurasian cross) on Wireless, and a
single Ross' Goose with a large Cackling/Canada flock
down on Capp road.

No Snow Geese or Brant ;( But we still had a 5 Goose
Species Day! (Cackling, Canada, Emperor, Greater
White-front, and Ross)

We also went out the Clatsop Spit and saw a Snowy Owl,
about 8 Black Turnstones, and about 600 Dunlin (in one
flock!)
