Well, after a long and somewhat dreary winter, spring is starting to arrive ... and so is the time for Tom Aversa and I to write our respective columns for North American Birds and WOSNews.

So, if you could PLEASE (pretty please with sugar on top), send us your reports of unusual birds (or dates, or numbers) to FieldNotes at WOS.ORG or tom.aversa at zoo.org and SGMlod at aol.com we'd most appreciate it. Winter is defined as 1 December 2005 through 28 February 2006.

Though Tom and I scour Tweeters and Inland Birders NW, stuff still slips through and not everything is reported on those pages, so please don't assume we've caught everything, though we try.
