Hi Guy and All

The main difference between the DeLorme and the Benchmark series is one of
scale. The Benchmark maps are at a smaller scale (i.e. they cover more area
on a given page), but the amount of detailed information is not that
different. I do find that the Benchmark for Washington tends to have more
useful information as far as things like campgrounds and forest service
information. Because I find the DeLorme and Benchmark complementary, I carry
both in my car for ready reference. Both are excellent in showing the
obscure roads and geographic locations that crazy birders like to frequent.
I don't think you can go wrong with either, or both.
