Wednesday, December 28th, 5:19pm. Hi this is Kraig Kemper reporting for
today, the 28th, birding in Greys Harbor County. I observed 2 RED PHALAROPES
between Aberdeen and Westport off Hwy 105 at the Oleary Watershed. I had 5 RED
PHALAROPES in the Westport Marina, 2 in the parking lot, 3 in the water. Also,
at the Westport Jetty, birds were reported but there was a poor connection so
could not finish hearing message.

Friday, December 29th, 6:43pm. Hello this is Kraig Kemper reporting for the
29th. On the Keystone to Port Townsend Ferry, on the Jefferson Co side, I had
15 ANCIENT MURRELETS, some in flight and others in the water. I had nice
comparisons with the MARBLED MURRELETS there.

Saturday, December 30, 9:51am. Hi this is Tom Aversa, reporting for
yesterday on a trip to Greys Harbor County. Plenty of RED PHALAROPES around; 11 at
the Hoquium sewage plant, 20 at Ocean Shores plus a SPOTTED SANDPIPER and an imm
GLAUCOUS GULL at the Hoquium sewage ponds. At OS there were 5 SNOWY OWLS,
all immature males, sparsely mottled.

December 30, 3:54pm, this is Arn Shelbeck, (hope the spelling is correct),
(206) 526-0361. My wife Kathy and I spotted a RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER on Saturday,
the 17th, in the late afternoon, in the popular trees lining the paved road
going north-south behind the officer?s housing. I reported it in the card file
at the information center. On the 28th a birder and his family from San
Francisco spotted a RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER also, perhaps 200ft away in the mixed
woodpile favored by the SNOWY OWL. This family took a digital image of the bird
and showed it on the 29th to others there.
