Rod Coler and I discovered a Barred Owl in Two Rivers County Park yesterday during the Tri-Cities Christmas Bird Count. It was seen in the same area today. About two miles south on SR 397 from the Columbia River Cable Bridge turn east onto Finley Rd.
After 1 1/2 miles park in the lot at the southeast corner of the lagoon in Two Rivers Park. Walk east on the nature trail, take the left path at the first fork (small whitish rag tied to branch here) and continue. After another approx. 100 ft. look for the bird in the various trees to the north of the path in the wetlands.
