Happy New Year, Tweets!

The first day of the new year was a good one, and hopefully, and indication
of things to come. By the end of the day, my 2006 Pine Lake list totalled 19
species.

This is fairly typical for this time of year, however, there is one new
entry. We were surprised and delighted to see a male Redhead on the lake. He was
hanging out with a pair of male Ringnecks, and today, two Coots. After five +
years on the lake, we're always thrilled to see a newcomer. And on January
first, no less.
