Tweeters,
We took a couple birding breaks on our Seattle to Portland to Seattle
driving marathon today. Nisqually NWR gave us a dozen snow geese and a
peregrine from the parking lot. However, the auto route at Ridgefield
provided a group of 3 horned larks accompanied by what I believe was a
female lapland longspur and 50 - 75 tundra swans. The three muskrats
were an added bonus. Red-tail total for the day was 20--17 freeway
birds, 3 refuge birds.
Crummy weather, too much driving, but good birds!
