Hi all,

Driving home from work this morning, there were 2 adult Bald Eagles at about mile post 281, Hwy 97 on the west side of the river in a large tree.

Surprisingly, there was also an immature Golden Eagle perched on a fence post about 30 feet from the road at mile post 143 on Hwy 17. There was a road kill animal at that point. I did not have my 'Field Guide to Flattened Fauna' along, but I guessed it to be a raccoon.

I struck out on the Lincoln county Snowy Owl on Waukon Rd. (I'm much better at spotting them when they fly across in front of me), but at the pond at Cloverdale Rd, there was a nice assemblage of Canada Geese, Mallards and 2 pair of American Wigeon.
