Hello Tweets,

We have just up updated our photo gallery with 12 new photos of recent sightings including Snowy Owl(s)from Damon Point at Ocean Shores and the immature Glaucous Gull photographed today near Chehalis in Lewis Co. Our photos of the Glaucous Gull aren't that good due to lighting, but are mainly for "proof" of this recent addition to the Lewis Co. list! Our photos of the Snowy Owls at Damon Point yesterday were taken under extreme conditions due to very high winds and sideways wind and hail, but we were most impressed by getting any photos! We also enjoyed watching one bird pursuing some kind of prey in the dunes, which we captured in our photos too. We expect the Snowy Owls at this location will remain through the winter due to plentiful food supplies. In addition we have placed a few added photos onto our recent gallery including an immature Sharp-shinned Hawk taken at Hoquiam and an immature Golden-crowned Sparrow in our Fircrest backyard, which was our 1st winter record of that species for our yard.

Our latest photos can be accessed at the following link: http://www.pbase.com/godwit/recent_photos/

We hope you may enjoy our photos!

Sincerely,

Ruth and Patrick Sullivan
