Who couldn't love these goofy birds? Best coot viewing is when they have a raft of young ones in tow. You don't see many coot sightings reported on Tweeters....too bad they're so rare.

Rare? You're kidding, right, Joe? This winter, as usual, we have about 250-300 coots on Long Lake here just outside Lacey. They're all over the place, just hardly worth reporting on Tweeters.
