a few days ago, sunny walter and an incredible group of adventurous women
ventured up to brackendale for the annual eagle festival... last year at
eagle run, there were an estimated 3700 eagles in one short stretch of the
squamish river. this year, we were lucky to encounter perhaps 20 of the
beautiful and majestic scavengers in the same spot, most well out of range
of lens that did not consist of 600mm + 1.4 + 2.0 converters... so, the
past month's photography tends to be a bit heavy on dogs and scenery, with a
single eagle thrown in to stay on topic... (grin)

for those who are willing, these 20 photographs are now in the "photos of
