Subject: [Tweeters] Snohomish dead swan

The swan on the Lowell-Snohomish River Road has been picked up. It was an
adult male, weighing 34 pounds and was apparently healthy. He was killed
while taking off when he hit one of the powerlines that cross the field.
Another swan near Arlington hit a powerline a week or so ago. During the
crash it landed on a car, crushed the windsheild and dented the roof leaving
the car undriveable. When the rescuer arrived the swan was standing in the
adjacent field. It flew off when approached. I can only imagine the
insurance adjusters look when told of this incident.

And if you see any swans sick, injured or dead, be sure to let me know: The
swan hotline # 360-466-4345 x266.
