I'm an English minor (also "from a long time past") and I often go into the
field to watch birds, and not once in all my 55+ years of doing so have I spent
any time at all categorizing myself.
My purpose in being out there is to enjoy the birds and get a bit of fresh
air.

If Charlie Brown were in on this series of postings, he might say, "Good
