Hi again Tweeters -
This afternoon a brief visit to Kent paid off with great views of the
ICELAND GULL.
I arrived at the corner of 59th & 212th at 3:30. The fields on the NW
side of the corner had a few Glaucous-winged Gulls, and 2 Western
Gulls. Then, at 3:40, several more gulls arrived, including the
Iceland Gull.
As others have noted, the paleness of this gull, both on the mantle
and the wingtips, really makes it stand out.
I stuck around until 4:30, and left before the gulls did. An hour of
great looks!
Looks like yesterday was just too sunny for the gull to stick with
its routine, but hopefully the return of our rains will make it
reliable once again.

Best,
