This weekend on the Skagit Flats, we had extensive Starling courtship vocalizations, Red-winged Blackbirds calling, Pacific Chorus(Tree) Frogs calling at 4 different spots, crocuses blooming, my daffodils are up 6" and Pussy Willow catkins are already pollinating. These have always been my traditional signals for spring but they are several weeks earlier than usual this year at my latitude.
