In our winnowing process (no pun intended) before our move to CO I
rediscovered the wings of one of those birds who was sacrificed for
woman's hats--I got it from my parents, and they probably got it from
one of theirs. It's gorgeous-- russet primaries wi black tips and
dark coverts (if I've got my anatomy right--always a problem with
wings). Length of wing is approx. 6-1/2 in. and kind of stocky, like
a grouse, or dove--only I can't figure out its identity. It's in
remarkably good shape.

So I'd love to give this specimen to a good home--anyone have suggestions?
