I walked around Seward Park Sunday with a friend from out of town, and we saw a Townsend's Warbler - a very cooperative bird that foraged fairly low for a couple of minutes and gave us outstanding views. I think Seward Park is supposed to be one of the best places to locate them in winter.

Is it possible that I saw a Townsend's Warbler in my backyard in Wedgwood (North Seattle)? It flew away before I had a chance to grab my binoculars but I distinctly saw alternating black and BRIGHT yellow stripes on the head and a yellow stripe under the eye. What else could it have been? Thanks.
