Nikon Fieldscope 82 mm is said by the company to be fully waterproof
and fogproof. I was asked about this.

I was also asked about customer service, and I've had no experience
with it, as I've never returned anything to Nikon. All the cameras
I've ever used have been Nikon (that would total close to 10 in 40
years), and the only repairs they've needed is when I've done
something to the camera, and those were done locally. I hope my
stretch of good luck continues.

One thing I haven't admired about my cameras is that when you drop
them in salt water, they don't repair too well. The only time I've
gone paragliding, I took my camera up with me, and I got dunked in
Puget Sound! Another one got brushed off a ledge into a saltwater
rockpit in the Florida Keys. Those are some of the days you remember.
