Is there anyone reading this that believes they know where a listable population of Northern Bobwhite exists in Washington state?

I've identified them two or three times in Benton County over the years but never counted them because circumstances always indicated to me that they were either escapees or recent releases.

I see them on the offical WOS bird list, but I must say that I suspect that, like the Scaled Quail, there never really was a viable, self-sustaining population.

Am I wrong?
