I should have specified that I used the term Kumlien's to refer generally
to the "slop" in the middle - sorry. I was disagreeing that it necessarily
has to be closer to the nominate Iceland end just because it has whitish
primaries. I think it could easily be in the middle genetically, if not
closer to the Thayer's end, since it appears to be much closer to
Thayer's structurally.

For that matter there's no way to confidently rule out a leucistic
"pure" Thayer's with a bird like this, although it is presumably
much more likely the pale primaries are the result of introgression.
