Hello All,
This morning we joined the Shoemakes and went after a reported Snowy Owl off
Whetstone Rd. off HWY 12 north of Dayton, WA. MerryLynn spotted the owl out
under a huge wind turbine in the Hopkins Ridge Wind turbine farm from
Thronson Rd., at the top of the hill. This appears to be an adult female and
is the first known and confirmed Snowy Owl record for Columbia Co.,
Washington. This bird was first detected by contractors working on the wind
farm on Saturday 21 Jan..
