A funny thing happened on the way from Davenport.....

We were stopped on a side road a few miles west of Davenport looking at
the map when a "metal bird" stooped us. Yep, this hang glider came
straight at us, then stooped us, circled around, and stooped us again.
All of us remarked out loud, "What the heck? What does he think he's
doing? Is he nuts or what?" The encounter reminded me of the immature
goshawk that earlier in the day had taken after the covey of CA quail
and nearly missed the front end of my Escape. After us, the metal bird
headed toward Davenport on a straight line over the highway and stooped
a number of vehicles. Must be a special sport in that neck of the
woods, because this has never happened to me before.
