We have had over two hundred sightings of ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS coming to
feeders in the Nanaimo to Qualicum Beach area this winter. Watch your
feeders--you may be pleasantly surprised!

Tuesday January 24, 2006:
Thirty AMERICAN ROBINS were seen in a yard along Cameo Drive on Gabriola
Island.
An ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD is visiting feeders in the 1300 block of Lanyon Drive
in Parksville.

Monday January 23:
Over thirty BAND-TAILED PIGEONS were seen along Cameo Drive on Gabriola
Island.

Sunday January 22:
A TOWNSEND'S WARBLER, HUTTON'S VIREO and a ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD are visiting
feeders in the 1400 block of Marina Way in Nanoose Bay.

Thursday January 19:
A YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER was seen feeding on suet along Fairway Crescent in
Nanoose Bay.
A COMMON GOLDENEYE and a DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANT were spotted at Buttertubs
Marsh in Nanaimo.
Six AMERICAN WIGEON and one EURASIAN WIGEON were seen at Brockwood Marsh in
Nanaimo.

Saturday January 14:
Two TRUMPETER SWANS, calling with their single honk call, flew low overhead
at Nanoose Bay.
