A determined Varied Thrush, singing the way I remember hearing these
birds in the Spring--soft, pitch of each note wobbly, that is not a
steady one-pitch whistle or trill, rhythm off (less than normal
spacing between the notes). A young bird, or a Spring bird???

Our Bewick's Wren--song is different this year than the last couple.
Previous years the trill part of the end of the song was often but
not always cut off, early and abruptly, as if a cat had silenced him
mid-phrase. Repeats were usually the same, then he'd a trill or two
of normal length. This year, no cut-off trill. Same bird?
