Subject: [Tweeters] Blue phase Lesser Snow goose?

Yesterday we were at the Nisqually NWR and saw what appeared to be a Blue
phase Lesser Snow goose. The bird was with 8 Canada geese on the west side
of the twin barns loop. We walked by the geese which were mere feet away so
we could clearly see and photograph the bird. The snow goose did not appear
to be a juvenile bird. The color and markings of the snow goose were
lighter than the plate in Ducks, Geese, and Swans of North America. Does
anyone have any thoughts they would want to share on this subject? On
another topic there is a very nice commemorative stamp being offered of the
Ivory Billed Woodpecker at www.ivory-bill-woodpecker.com.
