Hello All,

Regarding the Cowlitz co Swamp Sparrow, mentioned in my recent
post: credit for discovery of this rare Cowlitz bird goes to Russ
Koppendrayer, who generously gave me directions to this favored spot in NW
corner of the county (DL: 32, B-1). There is a small gravel & mud parking
area on the E side of the hwy here (intersection of Casey Rd & SR411, also
known as West Side Hwy). Caution is urged: road shoulder is narrow,
traffic often fast, as you cross to W side of hwy, where the best swampy
habitat is.
