Aaron Sekerak's "A Travel and Site Guide to Birds of Costa Rica" (Lone
Pine, 1996) has three pages on La Selva including a check list -- but only
for the Jan - March quarter. A quote: "All in all, La Selva is one of the
best places in Costa Rica to find species that are difficult to find
elsewhere, especially, woodcreepers,, antbirds, and some rather obscure
flycatchers."
