A few years ago, my husband and I drove to Pt Reyes, it was around the beginning of January. On the side of the roads would be dead skunks etc and TVs eating away, and almost always a Red-shouldered Hawk would be hanging around in a tree or bush watching the diners. We never actually saw one get a bite, but did see one chased away by a TV.
