Tweets,
went over to Huntzinger Road out of Vantage today to
try for the Black-throated Sparrow. I missed it on
Huntzinger, but got it at the Recreation Road Site
described by Marv Breece. Thanks Marv, I will send
you a picture shortly ;)
But along Huntzinger I had Lark Sparrow, Sage Sparrow,
a family of Chukar (at least 12 babies!), and an
Ash-throated Flycatcher. Plus the usual Caspian Tern,
White Pelican, Say's Phoebe, Rock Wren, tons of
swallows. And 2 Common Loons above the dam.

On the way home I swung thru Taneum Canyon, and picked
up Western Tanager, Swainsons and Hermit Thrush,
Townsend's Warbler, and Cassin's Vireo. And a dead
Common Poorwill on the road, so I will have to go back
there some evening to see a live one ;(

And I stopped at Snoqualamie pass as well, and saw 2
Black Swift at tree-top level (at about 6:30 PM) from
the trail-head for the Pacific Crest trail. (Is this
spot on the county line, so can I count those in
Kittitas county as well? ;)

It was a good day. And not even overly hot on the
east side ;)
