All:

We're visiting from Lake Tahoe, where we have large
numbers of Common Nighthawks coming through every
spring. A few stay and breed in the cliffs. Since
its so cold when they migrate, they feed during the
day.

Any explanation for the apparent decline of Common
Nighthawks? Lessers appear to be doing fine accoring
to BBS data.

Other human dependant birds -- Chimney Swifts -- are
also in trouble.

Is someone cleaning all those once attractive roofs
and chimneys?
