Hi Tweeters

Today we were lucky enough to spot a juvenile Lewis's Woodpecker at
the Arboretum, which is something I've never seen in Seattle before.
We also ran across a really strange looking woodpecker strutting
around in the magnolia trees. It was almost entirely black with a
dark gray underbelly, slightly larger than a robin with a long,
straight black beak. It's most striking feature, however, was a
plume of black feathers on it's head. This was a plume, not a crest,
and it was certainly not a Pileated woodpecker or a Stellar's Jay.
Can anyone help us out with an ID?
