Hi all,

My comment about Nighthawks linked to clearcuts was just a knee jerk reaction to all the recent euphoria about more Nighthawk sightings. I'm certainly no expert - justt an arm chair birder.

As for Lesser Nighthawks, I recall them being frequent nightly visitors at and around the well lit hospital parking lot on Fort Huachuca, Arizona. That was back in 1969 - 1971. Common Nighthawks seemed rare in those parts.
