on the fireworks thread, did anyone else have Mountain
Beaver walking around last night, looking kinda
bewildered by all the ruckus?
I was standing on the street watching our neighbors
trying to torch the place, when a mountain beaver came
out of the grass and started wondering around in the
middle of the intersection. Closest I've seen one of
these critters. It actually started to approach us at
one point! I made a noise and it froze and hunkered
down, rather ineffectively seeing as how it was on
asphalt ;)
I did not even know there were any in my neighborhood!
And I think I saw some Mtn Beaver bodies on the road
on the drive in this morning, which I do not recall
seeing before. (But I may have been sensitized by the
ecounter last night, and they easily could have been
rats as well ;)
Anyone else see any signs that the Mtn Beavers were
overly confused or impacted by last nights
festivities?
