7/5 Iverson Spit
Three Mourning Doves flew off as I got out of the car.
About 20 Caspian Terns were hanging out on the beach
with about 30 Ring-billed Gulls.
There were lots of swallows: Rough-winged, Tree and
especially lots of Barn Swallows including one feeding
a juvenile in mid-air.
A small flock of Purple Finches scratched around along
the dike while a good-sized flock of Pine Siskins
flitted about in the bushes. I feel a bit tentative
about the Siskin ID, but I don't know what else they
might be - they looked rather juvenile-ish.

7/6 English Boom
Tree and Rough-winged Swallows, and Purple Martins
There several Killdeer running around crying including,
strangely, one being chased by a swallow - quite the
aerial acrobatics.
