Anyone out there Knowledgeable about the breeding habits of Anna's Hummingbirds?
As I have posted already I found a new hummingbird nest at Wallace Swamp creek Park (WSCP) on Friday it had one egg in it and on Saturday it had two. Mama H has been sitting tight on the nest the past 3 times I have checked on her. Now in my back yard I just watched a female perched on my snag while a male displayed for her then they both flew off together.
I assume the male displaying in my back yard is the one who stakes out my yard year round.

Do Anna's have multiple broods in a year?
Are this years hatchlings having families of their own?
Will a nest begun this late be successful?

I haven't seen the WSCP Barred Owls since June 5th but this morning crows led me to one of the juveniles. After the crows left him alone he yawned a couple of huge yawns. I don't know if they woke him up or he was just settling in got the day.

Ron, did you get a picture of the Cooper's?
