Today I replaced one of my outdoor lights with a compact fluorescent bug lamp that I picked up at Home Depot. It gives off a yellow light instead of white. If it works, it will help reduce the impact of our lights on the insect population. --The down side is that it contains mercury. It's always something, isn't it. Which is worse, mercury or insect impacts?
Anyway, I'll test this bug light for a bit and let you know how it works out.
