I haven't had them all year; and I usually have 10-30 hanging around in the late winter until spring.
I wonder if the West Nile (or some other disease) really decimated their
numbers? They are so small that it would be hard to see their bodies. I think
of them as being "frail" immune-wise--they are often hit really hard by
salmonella, and I know year before last that I found two PISI bodies next to my
shop (and none of the ones at the feeders looked sick, before or after I found
these two).
