Hal Opperman's Birder's Guide to Washington notes a charter trip from Neah Bay by Steve Boothe of Puffin Adventures. But the URL doesn't load and a google search for either personal or company name doesn't get usable results. The phone number given (888-305-2437) won't connect, and an internet search for Shipwreck Point RV Park and Campground links to an RV park by another name, and that homepage basically says they got tired of running the park and might reopen someday. A search for Neah Bay ecotours produced several charter boat listings that said they did birding tours, but their URLs were also defunct.
Does anyone know:
(1) is Steve Boothe, or someone, still running Puffin Adventures?
(2) if not, is there anyone else doing pelagic trips out of Neah Bay or nearby spots along the Straits? And if so, how can I contact them? (I know about Westport, and will be doing one of their trips in August, but that's not what I have in mind for now)
(I'll be out at Neah Bay for a couple of weeks, starting this Monday, and would like to get out to Tatoosh Island)
Thanks in advance for any advice/info,
David White
