Subject: [Tweeters] 7/14 Pine Siskins at Iverson Spit

The flock (15-20) of Pine Siskins I reported last week
is still at Iverson Spit. They were feeding on Birch
cones along with an American Goldfinch. In my previous
report I was tentative on the ID, mainly because
there've been so many comments about a lack of these
critters. I had only two at my feeder this year, one
day in late January or early February, usually there
are several hanging around for a few weeks then.

The Cedar Waxwings were still there. And a juvenile
Northern Flicker, lots of Redwing Blackbirds with young.
There were comparatively few Tree Swallows, and no Barn
Swallows compared with what must have been around 100
last week.
