Hi Tweeters,
The Acorn Woodpecker that Bill Drenguis and Richard Repp found on June 13
is still there. It was seen Friday, for quite a long time yesterday
morning and I saw it for about 15 minutes late this afternoon. It seems to
be hanging out most recently in the oak grove surrounding the picnic area
at the south end of the parking lot. When you drive in the entrance road,
you are at the north end of the parking lot. The south end is the other
end. It has also been seen in the oak trees at the south end of the grassy
area of the fort grounds and behind the south-most officers house in the
southwest corner of the grounds.
