Subject: [Tweeters] Ravens - an additional thought

Whether legal or illegal . . . singling out the raven (along with the crow
which, perhaps understandably, has a lousy reputation) for killing is not
really necessary. After all, the birding world probably knows everything there is
to know about ravens, Chihuahan or otherwise. I mean, the raven as a
species is certainly not in the same category as the Black-capped Gnatcatcher which
was "collected" for identification purposes not too many years ago in
Arizona.
I wonder if Poe's "Quoth the raven nevermore" was prophetic?
. . . and then there is, of course, the Canada Goose . . . now
there's a population surge!!! Not so incidentally, who's going to do what?
Sincerely, Murray
